At its heart mindfulness is about building brilliant brains and calm minds. It is about learning to find peace, focus and even happiness in a busy, frantic and sometimes worrying world.
Ask parents what they want for their children’s futures and they will tend to use words like happy, enthusiastic, joyful, successful and able to deal with the ups and downs of life.
A Sense of Balance is a lively, participatory session with lots of ideas you can take away and try out. Learn how to deal with the grizzly bears and headless chickens that inhabit your office, and find out about the secret competition that causes untold stress in every workplace. By taking a fun look at serious issues A Sense of Balance is suitable for a wide variety of job roles and can accommodate audiences from 10 to more than 100. Creating the Balanced Mind is a fascinating guide to the healthy food and exercise we need not for our bodies, but for our minds. After all we know that a healthy body comes from to eating well and exercising properly. How often have you considered the food and exercise you are giving your mind? And how much mental junk food are you consuming? This session is highly interactive and teaches simple but effective techniques that can be used in both at work and in everyday life. It is easy to learn and can improve creativity, decision making and memory. It is a mainstay of modern wellbeing techniques as it helps fight depression, boosts the immune system, reduces anxiety, lowers blood pressure, and reduces stress. We all like to feel happy, but how can we go about it? This fun workshop looks at happiness from a very particular angle – that of neuroscience, and discusses the most effective ways of feeling happier according to your brain. No scientific knowledge is required beforehand, and everything is explained in easy to follow ways. (Enhances wellbeing and bounce back).
Feeling not listened to, or getting frustrated at not being able to put a point across are among the most common work place situations employees find stressful and difficult. Learning these techniques can change all of that. This programme gives the core skills needed to make an impact, and communicate with clarity and purpose. In trying to achieve a productive and successful balance in life the current mantra is: work smarter not harder – but the question is how? This bite-sized programme shows exactly how. It reveals ways of feeling more in of control of workload and the working environment, and provides a great way to calming down the chaos of the working day.
